Communications talks to clients on WhatsApp through Meta. Here is what you need and how it is billed.
Communications is WhatsApp Business through Meta, inside nineloops, so client conversations sit on the same record as the project, deal and invoice they belong to.
What you need first
- A paid plan. Communications is not part of Free.
- A Meta Business account.
- A phone number that is not already registered to the regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. Meta will not accept a number that is in use elsewhere.
Connect it
- Open Settings, then Integrations.
- Choose WhatsApp and follow the sign-up flow, which hands over to Meta to authorise the connection.
- Pick or register the phone number you want to send from.
- Come back to nineloops and send a test message to yourself to confirm messages flow both ways.
How it is billed
Communications is included on every paid plan and billed by usage. You pay Meta's cost to send each message plus a small platform fee, with no extra charge per seat.
If messages send but nothing arrives back, the connection is usually authorised without the message subscription being complete. Raise a ticket with the phone number and we will check the connection from our side.
