Adding people, building teams and removing access

Running a workspace · nineloops support

Invite and remove members, group them into teams, and understand what a seat is.

Invite someone

Settings, then Members, is where people are invited by email address and given a role. Pending invitations are listed there too, so you can see who has not accepted yet and send it again.

Teams

Settings, then Teams, groups people into the teams your company actually has, with their own rosters and team channels. Teams make it possible to give a whole group access to something at once instead of naming people one by one.

Seats

A seat is one person with access to the workspace. Free covers up to five people, Starter up to ten, Growth up to thirty, Agency up to seventy-five, and Enterprise is unlimited. Removing someone frees their seat immediately.

Removing access

  1. Open Settings, then Members, and find the person.
  2. Remove them, or suspend them if you expect them back.
  3. Their access ends on their very next request. Their work stays in the workspace, because it belongs to the workspace rather than to them.

Settings, then Audit log, records member and settings changes, so there is a history of who was added, changed or removed and when.
