Install the desktop app on macOS or Windows
Getting started · nineloops support
Download the native app, sign in with the same account, and understand how updates and offline work.
nineloops runs as a native desktop app on macOS and Windows, and in the browser, from the same account. The desktop app launches faster, keeps a local cache and queues your changes while you are offline.
Install it
- Go to the download page and choose macOS or Windows.
- Open the installer and follow it through.
- Sign in with the same email address you use on the web. Your workspace, settings and history are already there.
Updates
The desktop app updates itself. When a new version is available it downloads in the background and installs quietly, so you are not interrupted mid task. You can see your current version and the release notes in Settings, then Updates.
Working offline
The desktop app keeps a local cache, so it opens and stays usable without a connection. Changes you make offline are queued and sync when you are back online. Settings, then Storage and sync, shows the local cache and anything still waiting in the sync queue.
Live features still need a connection. Chat, calls, Communications and Levi all talk to the server in real time, so they wait for the network rather than queueing.
